Scientific Truth: Social Issue and Consensual Character

Abstract

In the article develops the theory of social nature and consensual character of scientific truth. Its background is the constructive-representation conception of scientific cognition on all levels of scientific knowledge: sensual, empiric, theoretic and metatheoretic. The consensual interpretation of scientific truth is the alternative theory of two other wide and popular epistemological paradigms : empirism and rationalism, which are mistake. To according the first paradigm the sours, foundation and criteria of the any scientific truth is empirical experience. But it is contradiction the criteria of truth mathematic knowledge and also scientific theories in natural science and humanities. To according the rationalistic paradigm the sours, foundation and criteria of the any scientific truth is thinking and its such methods as intellect intuition, deduction and idealization. But the paradigm contradicts the way of determination of sense data truth, also empiric facts and particular empiric laws. To according the consensual conception the scientific cognition and all its products have social-historical nature and on principle collective character and the main subject of scientific cognition is disciplinary scientific community. Its successful function has foundation not only subject-object cognition relation and also subject-subject communications members of the scientific community. To reason on principle as empirical and also theoretical nondefinit of any unity of scientific knowledge, the scientific community decision relative its truth always is expert and consensual.
